A brief description...
Located in southern Colombia, Huila is marked by the Andes mountain range and is home to the imposing Nevado del Huila volcano, the San Agustín Archaeological Park, and Tierradentro, both featuring hundreds of pre-Columbian monuments and sculptures. Huila also offers the Giant’s Hand viewpoint and excellent local cuisine. The Magdalena River runs through its center. In the north is Villavieja, a town surrounded by the vast Tatacoa Desert. Where stargazing. The Astronomical Observatory is a must.
Climate: Varies by altitude and terrain, influenced by winds and rainfall. with temperatures between 24°C and 34°C.
What to wear: Comfortable, fresh cotton clothing, comfortable shoes, and sunscreen.
